Eric Schneider is the Senior Director of Energy and Environment at the St. Louis Regional Chamber and Growth Association (RCGA) and has been with the RCGA since 2001.  He directs the activities of the St. Louis Climate Prosperity Project which seeks to evolve the St. Louis bi-state metropolitan region to a “Green Belt” economy.  He manages the RCGA’s St. Louis Green Business Challenge, leads research into the St. Louis green economy and workforce, and organizes the activities of the member-driven RCGA Energy and Environmental Council.  Prior to his current position, Eric was the RCGA’s Director of Public Policy Research, responsible for communicating the RCGA’s public policy positions and for researching and analyzing legislation impacting the St. Louis region to RCGA members 

Eric received a master’s degree in planning from the Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota and a bachelor of arts degree in economics from Grinnell College, in Grinnell, Iowa.
